Get 1 week ban by mistake and support don't want to do anything with that

Get 2 weeks ban. 1 week later ban was removed, and I get 35 ranked restriction games. I asked support why did I get double punishment? They said first punishment was removed, and I deserved second, and they won't fix anything. But I already had 1 week ban anyway! I deserved punishment, I accept it, but I didn't deserve to get punishment after punishment. This chatting with support takes soooooo long time.

You know what they finally said? "You are free to write in, but the restrictions will remain on the account." It sounds like "You can write, but we don't care, sit in ban forever."

Sounds like riot reviewed your ban and decided that they should reduce your punishment and yet your still complaining? Accept that fact you lucky they reviewed it at all let alone reduced your punishment.

Lyte in his ask.fm said that was massive ban to many people, and it was done by mistake.

I had 1 week ban. Anyway. No compensations, like its ok to ban people. 35 ranked restrictions take about 2 week, but you have to try hard, while in ban all you need is to wait. So I'd prefer to wait last week and be free instead of getting 35 wins in draft.

What lesson? I get mail signed by Lyte with sorry words. Doesnt look like mail was targeted to learn me something. Looks like system mistake or misunderstanding.

You stated you deserved the punishment, instead of banning you for 2 weeks they allow you to play everything but ranked a week before you were suppose to. It's fair

If you'd only done one punishable thing, you probably wouldn't have a punishment at all. The system doesn't base most punishments on individual actions, so much as on repetition of behaviors.

All this whole thing means is that they think you did something that wasn't actually deserving of the 2-week ban you were issued. So the penalty was reduced. What I find most amusing is that despite the reduced penalty, you're still going to complain. Which just goes to show that you can't make some people happy, no matter what you do.

It's wasnt reduced, I was banned by mistake. And they removed bam. Riot doesn't reduce punishment.

They reduce punishments regularly when a manual review shows that a punishment was perhaps overzealous. Lyte's been known to handle those reductions personally.

Here's one:

I've reduced this to a 3-day ban already. [...] the offenses and chat log don't warrant a 14-day. Apologies for the inconvenience, the account should update immediately.

Here's a general statement about it:

if you did get to a Player Support "Behavioral Specialist," and they did review your account... if they found an error, or no evidence of the punishment, they have the right to reverse the punishment or reduce it. [...] I see cases every once in awhile that have their punishments reduced.

Oh. Well, then. Sounds like either: Lyte's comment of "yesterday" was a mistake, or you somehow got lucky enough to have your ban caught up in a wave of reductions that shouldn't have affected you.

Either way, I fail to see the problem.

Because it was me banned, not you. Once you will get banned by mistake you will probably see the problem.

Allow me to clarify:

Either Lyte's comment of "yesterday" was a mistake, and he was indeed referring to the ban you had received 7 days prior - in which case, your ban was replaced with a lesser sentence (a good thing!); or you were lucky enough to have your valid ban caught up in a wave of reductions that shouldn't have affected you, and thus had it replaced with an undeserved lesser sentence (also a good thing for you).

The reason I fail to see a problem is that in both of those cases, a good thing happened to you.

It is not a clarification but an attempt to guess.

However it can't be lesser sentense, because 35 ranked restrictions imho > 2 week ban, and defently 35 ranked restrictions > 1 week ban. Wish same good thing happens to you once. Because it's a good thing in your opinion.

Well, there's the core of it, then. To Riot's mind, Ranked Restrictions are a lesser sentence to any length of ban, because they allow you to continue playing the game. If you disagree with that scaling, that's certainly your right, but I doubt you're going to change their mind.

As for me getting banned, I'd say it's highly unlikely. I'm a positive-trending neutral player at worst. I simply don't get reported very often, so I'm not even really on the system's radar.

You didn't get punishment after punishment. You got. 2 week ban which was lifted to a one week ban and got restriction because they felt a 2 week ban wasn't bad for you. To be honest though it seems like it should have been better to give you a 2 week ban if you are going to act like this!

So basically the system banned you for 14 days, after 7 days support responded and revoked your ban, but gave you a ranked restriction instead of 14 day ban?

I can see that working except if they revoked the ban on the same day.

This is just bullshit.

What do you mean? Riot are wrong or you don't believe to my screenshots? I can show my games from banned account, and from new account that I created, you'll see that I played on another account all this days.
