The chance the other team has a diamond smurf is also higher. Argument ended.

True! Therefore, you seem to believe there are more (or at least, a similar number of) diamond smurfs than there are trolls.

Thus, the people complaining about being unable to carry due to trolls are wrong, they SHOULD complain about being unable to carry against diamond smurfs.

Of course, this is silly, and in bronze-gold the probability of encountering a diamond smurf is less than 5% per game, with near certainty, so this is unlikely to affect your LP much at all.

In (high) gold, you see a few more smurfs (It's pretty much necessary to go through gold to get to diamond), but the idea that they're keeping anyone away from their "true elo" is ridiculous. Maybe they make you play 3 more games in total to get where you're going, but that's it.

What was the point of this thread? Neither trolls nor smurfs make a significant enough portion of low elo players to affect your rank, so the entire conversation is silly.

Was what I was saying anyway.
