Am I the only one whos unable to disable the chat filter?

I turned it off on the client but every time I get into game Alas when I try to call someone a, " A %&^#$ wife &%^#% %^&$ %^&$# son of a ^%$&%^ ^$$^&% &%^%$ you ^^&%$ %$%# ". It gets all stared out. Someone help me please.
