Why is it so difficult to block someone?

There's an 'Add Friend' button that spawns somewhat of a drop-down (or drop-up) menu and copy down the player's name character by character as it's shown, or you can simply Right-Click on someone in your 'Recently Played' list.

Blocking, on the other hand, can't be done by right-clicking someone in your recently played list, the Block List itself replaces your Recently Played, and then after all that makes you Confirm that you actually want to ban the player whose name you just spent a good minute typing into the box.
