How Does the Matchmaking System Work?

I just want to know how it works and suggest they base it off a combination of win to loss ratio and overall games played to match experienced players with other experienced players. I just got put in a game (I have 600+ wins in normal so I'm not new but I'm not a veteran) with 3 players with less than a 100 wins meaning they have played less time than me or just lose a lot .-.. I checked the enemy team and they were all around 600 wins as well so it was equal between me and them but team didn't do so well. Not blaming team, just saying it's not fair to them if they get put in a game against people much more experienced.
