Spirit Guard Udyr should have been a VU.

Udyr's base model is atrocious, and Spirit Guard Udyr is basically nothing more than a VU. I mean the skin doesn't change anything about Udyr, it's the same theme just... better. If you think about it, Spirit Guard Udyr was likely intended to be a VU, because they changed nothing about Udyr's theme and they even paid the designer 9 months salary. The special banners, icons and portrait in game are the only things that justify this as an ultimate skin, and not just a paid VU.
