where's the confusion of what's "toxic" "mean" "rude" and what's just "negative, but correct"?
I truly don't get it.. I've written a few posts in the last 2 years about it. The players who scream "you're toxic" to a player who pointed out something, are 100x more toxic than most people who they are screaming at 9/10 times.
Example: "Anivia you're fucking up the team fights with your walls every time."
5 years ago I could say this in a game, any game, and the usual response would be "Sorry" or something along those lines, case closed, done, move on.
A small portion of people would say "F you" and keep doing it.. They were considering A holes.. not trolls.. no no silly you, A holes... This is important because I'll come back to this point...
Now though? The usual response to something like that? "omg you're so toxic" <Queue in the rest of the team jumping down your throat for being a toxic player and 4 "negative attitude" reports after>.
NEWS FLASH: when a player points out something, even if its negative, doesn't automatically make it a toxic comment! Go figure!
To me, people who instantly (and this is about 99% of the people) jump instantly to "you're toxic" response of some form, to a negative comment, are generally toxic themselves, and 10x more toxic, and to me this doesn't make sense... It seems obvious that sometimes, and this goes for everyone, someone is going to point out a problem with what you're doing... and you know what? **It's a good thing. ** Why? Because someone is pointing out a problem for you to fix, and you can use the current game, and situation, to help yourself get better! Wow! Such Amazing!
Saying "You're toxic" to a negative comment such as the one above, to me, is like saying "F you". which 99% of ppl in league will do, since nobody seems to have the IQ to figure out whats actually toxic and what's just a fact, or point that's not a pat on the back, but isn't bad either.
And saying "F you" makes you an A hole.. What does that =? It ='s that a large majority of the player base are in-fact, misguided A holes.. lawls.. funny, but true.. Defending the Anivia in the above example, is like the person 5 years ago responding with "F you" because they, and the rest of the team defending him, don't seem to care. They were shown a problem that can be fixed, and instead of fixing it and realizing the cause, and problem, they decide that since the first comment wasn't a "you're so amazing!" or positive in some way, it must surely be toxic.. right? right? well.. no.. as I've already explained, in-fact.. it's them being toxic, as they are now attacking the person indefinetly the rest of the game for being toxic off of 1 comment, that was more or less intended to point out a flaw to be fixed to help them win...
Conclusion: Most people, including those who defend against a "negative comment" are infact, the toxic ones...
Note: I know this isn't 100% the case. There are major trolls, A holes, and wholly toxic players by far, but for me, it is the case described. I'm not toxic, but I do point out a problem here or there that can be easily fixed, and 9/10 times get attacked by everyone in the game for being "toxic" simply because I am not worshiping the player for being amazing and ignoring the problems that are helping us to lose the game.
