someytimes this is actually a good idea IF theres no way to stop baron and the chances of a steal are low

example their jungler is a leee sin who has execute and smite damage for the finishing blow and they have 5 alive while we have 4 alive

its better to give up the objective and take another when you KNOW you wont be getting it without losing your entire team to do so.

of course other factors come into play, such as, does our team have strong wave clear to hold off a baron sieged minion push? if yes, its a better idea to not compete baron and just get another objective

you have to look at it as risk per reward based on all the factors
