So... If the community overwhelming hates anything CertainlyT has touched, why is he still working?

Title. Like, I don't think I've ever seen a CertainlyT champion be either A) balanced upon release/rework or B) liked by the community.

How does he still work at Riot?

Actually, CertainlyT's designs are some of the most popular in the game, and not just because of raw power. Thresh is a lot of people's favorite support due to the opportunities he has to shine, Yasuo is a very fun carry to play, etc.

Making a blank statement that people don't like his designs is disingenuous and blatantly untrue in many cases. Are his champions a bit overbearing mechanically? Sure. Are they compelling? Hell yes.

The thing is he makes interesting and innovative designs, but they end up overloaded and not fun to play against. I think he tries to make something cool and gets really passionate about a project, but doesn't know when to stop.

Because he's the best designer riot has?

he makes kits that have multiple options in different situations which creates a form of skill. Kits like annie/vi/ekko etc do the same exact thing no matter what situation they are in which technically is terrible by design standards.

The only people who complain about him are people who think humans can't make mistakes or just bad players with a lack of game knowledge on how kits work.
