I would make one of those "I quit LoL" posts but at this point I just can't.

Back in the day, things were much more simple, much less frustrating and hectic and the game was actual fun. Toplane for example, my main role, was pretty much fighting for 20 minutes, the jungler not existing and you having a great time with the enemy toplaner. Sometimes you would get a kill but comebacks were easy, towers were much, much tankier and we had much less anti-fun champions.

Now there are a ton of things that just make LoL extremely exhausting and frustrating instead of being actual fun. Yasuo, Darius, Quasus, Quinn, Vayne, Riven, Darius, Jayce etc. are the Meta picks right now and playing against every single one of them is living hell. Even without them existing toplane isn't a nice duel anymore but whoever can be more of an asshole and a bully, not only because this is how toplane works but also because the more of an asshole you are the more tilted your enemy will get, which is just absolutely not fun at all.

Then there's the fact that towers are made of paper and the jungler will be at every lane aproximately every 2 minutes and having to deal with that just isn't fun either. And if they get a kill which is extremely likely you just have to be a bitch for the next 20 minutes, just because they got 1 fucking kill. One kill will be enough for the enemy to have a guaranteed lane win unless your jungler gets you out of that pit of misery. Being at the other end of that isn't fun either, I want to have a fair duel with my enemy toplaner and not stomp the shit out of him without him being able to fight back unless his jungler gets involved.

In general the mindset also has changed in my opinion, you can't be laid back and have fun anymore, you have to be dead serious and try your very hardest to win, else you are unable to have any fun in the first place. People always call people "tryhards" but honestly, if you aren't one then you don't have any reason to play League in the first place.

Casual League is pretty much dead. What it is instead is just an endless and exhausting pit of frustration and hate that you can't get out of. I don't want to come home from a stressful day of work to have an even more stressful time playing a fucking video game of all things.

I wish I'd be able to quit but at this point I have invested so much emotions, time and money into it and have let go of so much else in its stead that I just can't. I'm addicted and letting go of it is pretty much like stop being an alcoholic or a smoker. And League is like alcohol and tobacco, it seems like a good thing at first but it slowly ruins your life. I regret finding this "drug" in the first place.
