[Idea] In-Client Surveys

  • I think Riot should implement an option to take surveys in-client from a wide variety of topics.
  • Examples could include thing such as:
    • "How do y'all like the new Team Builder Feature?"
    • "How do you feel about Jinx? Playing as, playing against, her counterplay?"
    • "How would you like to see Fighter Itemization improved?"
  • Minor Incentives could be provided, such as:
    • IP Bonuses
    • Progress toward unlocking special Summoner Icons
    • Special Custom-Ward unlocks
    • Temporary IP Boosts
  • Surveys could include multiple questions with traditional 1-5 rating scale (highly dissatisfied->highly satisfied)

i like this idea in general.

but how do you take into account smurfs and people fudging the data that way?

i also am okay if the surveys are the incentives themselves. if we know RIOT actually looks at these rather than just the feedback then i'd say it's worthwhile. i don't know that it needs to be a big incentive

I like this idea. Reward system could be kinda like the tribunal when you finish one you get some IP. I'd be happy to do surveys for free though.

  • Benefit to Riot:
  • Better Polling of its Player-base
  • Better Public Relations (makes players feel more valid to the design-process)
  • Easier Data-Compilation (Riot could filter results; e.g. Diamond League only, etc.)

The only thing is that I feel the surveys could be abused if incentivised. If you get IP every time you complete one, people will just spam them with all of the same answer to get the IP faster.
