Many of the "this champion needs buffs/ an update" comments come from people that don't take the time to learn the champion and are salty they didn't go 20-0 in the first game they played them.

Zyra has been on my main roster for a couple years now. I consistently hold a 70% win rate with her as mainly mid lane.

Her plants don't last long enough - as long as they get off one auto that's fine. W OMG useless - free wards IMOBILE! - 3 types of CC. Add fc and rylies and you are untouchable Her ult has a delay - so the **** what learn how to place it properly Her passive - ok you got me there...

Zyra/Maokai main here.

She is deceptively strong in her damage output. She doesn't even need items to really dish out significant damage. Her W is my favorite ability because it grants vision and empowers 2 of her other spells. And if you're smart enough it can be used to "block" an enemy ability much like a Heimerdinger turret by sprouting a seed at the exact moment the missile gets launched in your direction. But I too feel like her passive feels out of place on her kit. You need to chain her ultimate and her E with it in order to hold the target still long enough that you can actually get your passive to hit your target. It feels Very meh.

Maokai is fine as is. His ultimate takes some getting used to at first but everything else works perfectly fine on him.

I wonder if Riot will ever make another plant champion. Hmmm...
