It's just I really think her poke tool should do more than leblancs auto attacks... or sonas... or sorakas... or zigg's... or u know any mages whoo arent supposed to be auto attackers.... whats the point of a spell tha can be out damaged by a MAGE's auto attacks?
Wave clear/poke. Katarina doesn't even need any buffs and it was made to not poke you a lot in the early game*
You mean the ability which costs 0 mana & does not have the damage reduction on consecutive targets anymore?

Poke with Q and last hit minions until your level 3 power spike. Then hit the Q-E-W-AA combo with Thunderlords for 2/3 of their health at level 3 and force them to back. If they're almost half health, throw an ignite in there for an easy first blood. Katarina is super easy to play right now since her buffs earlier this season let her snowball way easier.
TL;DR: Her Q's not supposed to do a ton of damage on its own. It's meant as a tool to set up huge burst combos.
