488 Blue essence, coincidence or not?

Such a strange coincidence, that both me and my girlfriend both end up at 488 blue essence after disenchanting a champion shard... We didn't have the same to start with, but she got a lot less from the skin shard than I did.

It feels like a manipulation to buy more chests. I'm still pissed that I didn't even get to 500 blue essence after spending 20 bucks on bloody chests. I feel ripped off Riot!

well duh, mastery is purely aesthetic, and blocking it behind a LONG grind, or pay wall limits the toxicity that the mastery spam suddenly became, I think the essence is VERY unintuative...

im fine with it, finally can get rid of these damn champion shards after owning every champion. In the next patch or two they r making it so you can BUY champion shards so.
