So who is it? my guess is Xin Zhao; scales ridiculously well and does his job at killing enemy carries real good.

Only counting viable top laners? Jax, Kassadin, maybe Ryze. Full AP Gragas is pretty terrifying too, but most people seem to prefer the bruiser build, which definitely falls off.

I mean, if I were a higher rank, I wouldn't ever play poppy. But if you're talking about any champ who can go toplane, I'd say poppy, vayne, jax, yasuo and yi are pretty high up there.

For me the best late game top laner is an early game top laner. This is because if you can get far enough ahead with a Shyvana or Renekton that are beastly in the early game you can roam and get far ahead. This might be because I have not reached level 30 and ranked yet, but I do feel like this is a good way to play top lane.

Its a very popular style - one that I personally, while I can see the merit of it, dislike. Using Renekton as an example: if I play, say, AD Sion, and play well, while i dont "win" lane, i dont "lose" - and by 15 minutes I out damage and sustain you. The problem (in my opinion) with snowball champs is they either completely dominate, or are useless.
