Flaming has gotten really old...
Throughout the span of how long I've played League of Legends, flaming is something you've kind of grown to expect. From literally the smallest things and I personally have seen all of it. Literally all of it. If you even think that I haven't, I main jungle and I main Shaco. I've seen some shit! I have been playing this game for over 6 years and throughout my time of playing: I have had a competitive drive for about 4 of those years. I tried so hard and the moment I get diamond in season 4.. I decay to play before the end of the season and.. it was kind of funny. Season 5 sucked. Season 6, I ended in diamond. EVERY single season more than 90% of my games had flame, mostly directed at me. I think it was season 5 where flame became such a sad thing that I'd just joke around with whoever's flaming. Because that was the only thing that was fun for me ever since season 5, you just had to make light of the situation and behind those lens the flame just looks like someone splashing water. That's probably when League got REALLY fun for me. Suddenly your top-laner dies and he's just like: "Goddamn 2 minutes in and my jungler doesn't do shit! Why the fuck does riot always give me bad teammates" and I couldn't help but start messing around. I wouldn't flame him or anything but I'd just make quirky jokes which may be more impactful than outright flaming because it just makes their flame so insignificant. Other players would be like "Woah, guys calm down! We can win this if we believe". My usual response to that would be "Don't worry Yugi, the heart of the cards are with us." I remember a mid-laner straight up going AFK after that. XD Which isn't to say I didn't try to win, I always try to win but I can't take League as seriously as I used to.. honestly. It came to season 6 and this was the season I was on and off. It was SO bad, this season was very much so the meta I belonged in but I played so many games yet I rarely enjoyed any of them because the flame was SO generic. It was SO boring and every single game it would be like "omg my jungler is bad" or "omg my team is bad" and all the stuff inbetween like "omg your 0/10" or just straight up "holy shit man your like SO terrible and bad at this game.. HOLY.. I'm just gonna repeatedly state this over and over till it's obvious that I have no life." It's just.. not very creative? I try to joke around nowadays and it's not as fulfilling because it just feels like a bunch of robots programmed to say the SAME things every game. It's not sad to the point it's cute anymore, it's just sad and boring. Sometimes I actually get a little irritated now and I have to tell them "Hey man, if you can't come up with creative flame.. just refill on that moutain dew and cheetos and think while eating before you speak." Because honestly, it's so old... I'm probably gonna quit league by the end of the season when I'm done doing the Support Singed challenge.
