Yep. It's the mid laner's fault you were standing under their turret. Or are you saying he dove for a triple? Either way, it's not entirely your mid's fault. Sometimes you just can't follow someone.
Zed is also not the only champion capable of this. Honestly, any champ can get a triple in a 3v3.
Jax can do this, so can irelia, yi, xin, shyv, vayne, talon, kat, etc..
