Thoughts on Malzahar support?

Ok, so I've played 3 games with Malzahar support. In those 3 games, I am a combined 15/8/40 (kda of 3.875) and a 3-0 record. Yes, these games are against bronze-gold players. Personally, I think he seems to be decently strong. He has a decent poke with Q and E, a GREAT gold farming tool with E + support item, and a pretty good all in. So, do you guys think Malzahar support can be a good thing, or just good at low Elo since anything can work if you are a smart player?

I think it's clever, and pretty great in certain matchups (Zed diving your carry). The %HP damage is a big plus in this tank meta too.

Silence and supression is very good.

So for the couple of people that also think it is good, why are we not seeing it lol?

I vote "Don't fuckin' do it".

Malz's Silence isn't enough CC to peel or lockdown the enemy team for your own, with no AP he won't have enough damage to be relevant, and his Suppression ult won't be useful for much unless you can guarantee 100% follow-up from your allies and even then, all the enemy team needs to do is stun you and you now have most of your team utility on cooldown.

The only good supporty thing Malz could do is rush max CDR with some mana and spam Qs for Silence bombs all across the battlefield, which is a mild annoyance at best.

I've played enough Malzahar elsewhere to know that his support should not work.

From what I've played of jungle Malzahar, I've concluded that he needs his E bounces in order to actually be able to sustain your mana in lane. Any sort of playstyle that doesn't include E bounces accross the entire minion wave will run out of mana too quickly because of Malzahar's ridiculously appropriate mana costs.

He does have some really strong poke in the laning phase, but the poke he has is both very easy to read and is not sustainable for extended periods of time. This also does not include the fact that Silences aren't that strong against an ADC because they have auto attacks they can still rely on for damage.
