Help me with my crush/sad life

Hi guys. So recently I have found this person that I "like like" and I want to get to know them more. Wait before I say anything else I need to get into the problem of why I can't just go up and talk to them. They're not a popular kid and even if he was my rep at school is pretty big, I'm friends with all the groups (nerd, girls, kendama kids, etc. ), not friends with everyone in the groups though. Basically what happened was my friend, for now we will call her Afro Cow. Afro Cow sent a text from my own phone to a guy, we will call him Zelda fan, saying "I LOVE" >Insert person that I "like like" here<. I wouldn't call my feelings love just a crush that I would like to try and make into something more or at least become friends. So now that you know the problem lets get to know me a little more. I am a dude. I haven't came out as bi/gay ( I don't really find either sexually attractive right now I just want a relationship ).

A lot of people think that I am nice/ well known. I am athletic and not ugly, but I wouldn't call myself attractive because I don't want to sound selfish. I am a 8th grader. Now lets talk about my crush, my crush is pretty cool, plays Mine craft (I'm into nerds wot can I say) and likes the walking dead... I think. I don't know how to talk to him help. I tried to ask my friends but they don't get how serious I am. For example I don't like it when they say my crush's name out loud, like no, stop, don't say it super loud in the middle of class. They don't even get that I don't want to just date someone, that's stupid. When I hear that so and so are dating it always ends fast because they never even got to know each other. My friends don't understand that I just want to become his friend at least and maybe make it into something more. I don't even know if he is gay/bi. I've told everyone that I could that the text was fake, well it was kinda fake. So yeah help me cus all my irl friends suck.
