A problem with Riot's "Guaranteed Gemstones" offer
So this is going to discuss Riot's recent announcement of their guaranteed gemstones offer with the Project skins being released soon and overall a discussion of them in general. So of course, like many other people most likely, I view the Project Distruption page they set up. I look through it and see the section about crafting and then the section on how to get the gemstones. They said the only way to get them is through the bundles and only once a day. Now I wasn't made that I could only get one a day, that's a reasonable thing for them to do. Having gems limited to bundles only? A little teeth gritting but again understandable. Paying 2950 RP for the Augment Bundle even though the Augment Caches are 295 and so you're basically paying for 10 individual caches, just so I can get one gemstone that day............. WHAT THE FUCKING HELL RIOT!?!? You're basically going to be paying roughly $20 over the course of six days, if your stupid enough, just to get six gemstones and with that you'll have spent $120 dollars.
If you think I'm wrong or overreacting then let me put this on: one hextech key and or chest separate are 125 RP each. The bundle for one of each is 195 RP, 55 RP cheaper if you were to buy the key and chest separate. The bundles also continue up to save you money rather then buying the items separately along with bonuses if you do buy them, encouraging you to do so. Here it literally makes no difference if you buy them separately or in the bundle except for the fact that you get a free gemstone, and the rest of the bundles don't fall far from that same concept either. Riot the reason we bought the bundles for your already stupid gambling system is because it was to save us RP and for the bonuses when we did. Here your guaranteeing us a gemstone but at the full price of buying 10 of these caches at the same price, no discount or anything else.
When you said sometime on some post that you wanted to help players get gemstones, did you really think it was a good idea to slap it on something with the same price as buying 10 of those individual things rather then putting the bundle on a discounted price like the rest of your bundles to better encourage us to buy it? I'm sorry but with this, and I really hate to say this, you just lost all my respect and nearly all my faith. I really wanted to believe that you wanted to help us get these gemstones due to your stupid system never really dropping them as frequently as they should, but if your telling us that we have to roughly pay $120 for 6 gemstones then I'm just not going to think of you guys any better then just now scamming us for our money. I am willing to spend money on you guys, but not in ways like this where I just feel like I'm getting nothing better out of it.
