not sure who I want to pick up besides axe (for obvious reasons). who's a good support pick, who's a good carry
and why no camera lock tbh

Kudos to you. Took one look at their shop and said nope.
For starting out I'd suggest Sniper (Maxed E makes him outrange towers) and Ursa (Volibear but beats people too hard)
Personal favorites are Tusk (WALRUS PUNCH!) and Legion Commmander (DUEL ME)
But eh, they've been my favorite since Dota 1 so whatever.

There should at least be a key to bind for hero center...i use it time to time when i play micro "intensive" heroes (lond druid). It doesn't work like hero chase, but at least allows you to quickly snap ur camera to center on your hero.
Strong support picks are dazzle, omni, lich... Strong carries are Anti mage, slark, Phantom assassin, riki...
