I will report you. Its trolling and its a %%%% move, youre putting your bot lane behind, they invented support items to grant you gold for a reason.

Instead, AP supports should go item 3303 + 3 item 2003 --> item 2301 .

That way, you get gold income without needing to farm the minions (when your ADC is there farming them of course, farm at will if your ADC is in base or dead). You also get AP, CDR, and Mana Regen so you can use your abilities more effectively. Plus it has a built-in Sightstone.

This coming from someone who mained Lux support all S6 long and picked up 325k+ mastery points on it.

For those who think "It's not reportable to go off-meta". No, but it is if you do what the OP suggested cause that is intentionally not playing support.

Is it reportable then when ADC's just stay bot lane forever and never group? Cuz that's technically not being the AD carry. Marksmen are not split pushers.

taking CS as a support puts the whole team behind, csing and pushing bot lane puts no one behind unless they feed kills.

A bad ADC taking all the CS is also putting the entire team behind, ha.

I have supported so many terrible ADC mains in normals at this point (most below Gold IV are are at best OK), once I realize they are terrible I just group with the team and leave lane at level 6.

In ranked, I usually play with more competent players so I don't leave them as often, I actually haven't support too many toxic ADCs in my ranked games. Most recognize they are doing poorly. Once the adc becomes a liability to me and my life, I give them vision and let them do their own thing. My job it to help the team, not help only the adc, but I am sure a lot of lower elo players would disagree with the support leaving the adc while silver players go through their 20 minute laning phase.

Most low elo players totally report me for leaving the adc, but it isn't reportable.

I have had many get toxic with me about leaving them or even toxic with me about staying with them, if I don't do what they want.

I had this terrible lucian player want me to all in at level 2, but I didn't. I realized he wasn't that good AND at the time the enemy had a positioning advantage. I think I was brand too, which can't really all in anyways lol. Pinged me the entire game to leave lane after I didn't do what he demanded. I ended up staying until 6, muted him, and warded around, going mid and controlling the objectives.

We ended up losing because our lucian ended up not being able to hold his lane and while he didn't die, I think he was 3/3/3 ha, he was toxic with the rest of the team for not listening him.

Our jungler said something like "hey usually when I see a demanding ADC I expect them to be really good, but you are average and ruined this game for everyone playing it."

It had to have been a ranked game right before the season ended, either way, the point of the story is that a lot of player think certain actions are reportable and they simply are not.

No. That is an off meta strategy. That is not reportable.

It isn't reportable at all. It is just off meta play, which riot has stated numerous times is not a reportable offense. If the player actively tries to lose the game for your team; that is reportable. But sharing farm in a lane is not reportable.

If that was reportable, then all those people that ping when you take "their lane's CS" would be also be offenders and that is not the case.

Riot stated that if you intentionally do not play your given role it is reportable.

Yeah, but it doesn't mean they do not CS. They just need to go to the bottom lane AND not take someone elses role. That is the minimum requirement. They can even play Darius support or something bad. As long as they are trying to win the game and play actively to win the game then it doesn't really matter what champion they take, what items they build, or if they take cs or not.

The support role is just the role of going bottom lane. That has nothing to with not CSing or not building sight stone or any support items etc. Otherwise we would have A LOT of players getting banned for not warding or not building meta items.

This isn't saying they are not playing their role, it just means means they are a crappy support.

It simply means if you get support you don't go into the jungle with smite or that you take the roles of someone else. That is it.
