Why Are LvL 5 Mastery Champions Considered In Progress?

You've levelled them up to the maximum level already. Mastery lvl 6 and 7 are just a cash grab for an extra bling on mastery emotes.

You can get to Mastery 5 by losing every match and getting only the lowest grade possible. While the Hextech requirements might be bullshit, you can't get 6 and 7 without getting high grades.

and would you know how these grades work because ive had games where i go unkilled am in almost every fight but i dont GET s yet the dude who fed half the game picked up kills and didnt even work with team gets S how can you call that "Skill" or getting high grades when they are not even consistent

It's not just based on KDA. Riot won't release any of the specifics, but they said you wouldn't be surprised what is used. Things like kill participation, warding, objectives, healing/damage etc. You're compared only to others on teh same champion in the same role, so you don't need to worry about what Support Braum is scoring if you're Jungle Braum, or what any other champion/role scores are.

? But I've gone 0/0/21, doing a GREAT job as support, and get an A-, but when I have kills and CS, only then do I get S rank as support.

In some of my best games I've received A or B. I also find it particularly easy to get an S as support. If i go mid or top and decide to roam, I will not get an S due to less CS than expected by this retarded system.

The system is random and no automated script can judge when/how/why you made the calls that you did.

This is League, not call of duty. Grades aren't given out to whomever has the most kills.

in my example i didnt state it was about kills just that the feeding teammate stole some just ran around and acted like a troll and we still won and he gets an s but me who was in every fight ( i normally play top tank so tanking the team is my job) and i get an a or b
