Do something about smurfing please.

  1. It ruins ranked integrity.
  2. it makes it more difficult for low elo players to climb.
  3. They are generally assholes when they destroy a new player in lane cause that person doesn't know what they are doing.
  4. they are the primary elo boosters.

I'm not saying this due to smurfs ruining my games. I watch them ruin my gfs, games and my best friends games. Keep smurfs out of ranked.

Reasons why smurfs are a benefit to low elo players

  1. Any ego they had from destorying people their own elo is shattered and their will to improve is strengthened.
  2. They'll get punished for overstaying, An act not done again if they are serious about improving.
  3. They get experience fighting someone far above their own ability which will be sure to be a valuable learning experience, should they chose to learn from it instead of /all gg smurf wp ff@20.
  4. Their CSing will surely be higher than everyone elses...Something to take note on, and should allow the low elo player to quickly notice the difference between good csing and bad csing, Strengthening the will to learn to CS better.

Smurfing is generally frowned upon, but it's not against their terms so they won't do anything about it; and like what others said, even if it is forbidden, there is nothing they can do to stop it.

As for those arguing that playing against smurfs help you improve faster, I agree with you if and only if the skill gap between the smurf and non-smurf is within reason.

If all you know is

  1. if you leave fountain, you die.
  2. if you stop moving in fountain, you die.
  3. if you get hit by a skill shot in fountain, you die. Tell me, how are you supposed to improve? When the skill gap between the players and the smurfs they're against is so huge there is nothing to learn from, they die the moment they walk into opponent's AA range.

Honestly the only reason people make smurfs is so they have another account to play on if they are forced to dodge because a toxic player "didn't get their role"

I agree with you, but there isn't much Riot can do. If there was they probably would have done it by now. It's inherently a flawed system, which sucks for new/learning players, but if you can have the patience and a little luck, you'll eventually get better and climb.

I myself had challenger smurfs in my ranked placement matches. Placement matches. As in the first 10 ranked games you play to get placed in a division. It's some real feelsbad

From my experience, it's always best to play ranked in the middle of the season.
