Unfortunately, I really think I'm done with this game now.

I might keep playing ARAM and watching patch-notes for improvements because I really do enjoy this game when its in a good state, but its been far too long since then.

Its easy to see all of the issues with the game. People talk about it daily. Yet, Riot refuses to do anything to address the large majority of them or if they do anything at all, they don't do enough.

Graves is a perfect example. His tankiness isn't his biggest issue. Its that absolutely INSANE damage he does that almost invalidates melees or short-range mages mid-late game unless they're pure armor-tank. His tankiness on top of it just makes it more oppressive because you can't effectively punish the over-aggressive plays ALL of the Graves players seem to make, especially with current ADC itemization. I'm not even going to mention Graves players that are actually good with him. He's top dog in 3 roles ffs. That really says something, yet they only give him love-taps still every other patch. At the very least make it so max range autos do a fraction of the damage of other marksmen.

Paper towers are another issue. In other seasons they've even addressed this when towers became too trivial. No idea why they won't this season.

Extremely long death timers are another. Nobody enjoys these, and they make games close out when they DEFINITELY shouldn't. It makes everything so anti-climactic. League is basically laning, roaming, then first actual teamfight, as opposed to picks, decides the game. What makes it worse is that most teamfights are decided at champion select since some champions are so insanely strong.

Only 3 bans are another issue. Not because 3 bans is too low of a number, but because we have to use those 3 bans for OP champions, and then there are even more on top of that. We can't use them for what they're supposed to be for: strategy and preventing counter-picks.

There are just so many things wrong with the game now that the MYMU doesn't even have me excited anymore. I'm not even going to wait for it anymore.

The catering to casual, fast-paced play is fine, but please, take the time to stabilize the game. We all know you're spending most of your resources on LCS and champions/skins to make money, but the gameplay that people used to enjoy is important too.

There are more "I'm Quitting LoL" posts than ever before, and Rioters are just turning a blind eye to it. This game is collapsing in its current state, and they don't seem to care as long as the casuals who don't have much investment in the state of the game keep buying skins and watching LCS.

Its Star Craft 2 all over again. They pulled out too late, and Riot's about to make the same mistake.

I'm not watching the downfall of this game first-hand anymore. Its too depressing.

I already kind of regret the decision. I've really enjoyed this game in the past. But its foolish to stay on a sinking ship due to pride or nostalgia.

You're not talking about league of legends are you? Cause it is a level playing field with the friendliest players on pc.

Don't make a big deal out of it, man. Just take a break from the game. Go play Skyrim, or Fallout, or literally any other game instead. Eventually you'll feel the urge to come back.

I don't see why people make such a big deal out of this. If you're not having fun do something else until League sounds fun again. You literally make it seem like an old friend is dying before your eyes, and you can't force yourself to stick around and comfort them anymore.

It's just a video game. Video games come and go. Some are completely lost to time and can never be played again. They are meant to be fun and that's all. If your memories of this game are still enjoyable then at least you got something worth while out of it, and that is all that matters.

This isn't being worn out on the game.

The game is just so bad now that I can't stand to play it. Broken games are not fun, and that's why so many people are quitting compared to any other period in League.

I won't feel the urge to come back unless they actually put forth the effort to fix the game, which they won't because broken, flashy characters generate sales even from people that aren't attached to them, and broken, flashy characters give casual players extremely high moments where they feel powerful, since they can't consistently achieve that on their own.

I've seen it happen in tons of other games.

You're still making a big deal out of it. If you don't feel the urge to come back oh well, you'll have found something else that you enjoy. It's just a video game, don't act like it's the end of the world.

I'm making a big deal out of it because everyone else is, and yet Riot still ignores all of the issues with the game since they can still make money out of the casual players that don't care. People need to be vocal about stuff like this, otherwise things will never change.

And it won't be because I found something else I enjoy that I don't come back. I won't be coming back if League remains in the terrible state it is. That's it.

It doesn't matter how enjoyable gameplay is. The balance state of a game can completely and utterly undermine that, such as the case with League, Tera, etc.

Riot is not immune to their mistakes, despite what you may think. It will catch up with them eventually.

It's all just opinion. Some players think Riot is making mistake after mistake. Riot, and some other players, do not think so.

There's trying to make a difference and then there's making a mountain out of a mole hill. People have been saying League is dying for years, and still it grows. The more players you have the more varied opinions there are, and the more likely it is that one group of players will get burned.

It does matter how enjoyable the gameplay is. In the end that is the only thing that matters. You're trying to separate gameplay enjoyability from balance when they are the same thing.

I prefer tanky metas, personally. This means when we get into a damage focused meta I don't have as much fun. Sometimes it even feels incredibly frustrating, as I'm forced to only buy either the strongest defensive items in an attempt to play the way I enjoy, or I build damage and conform to the current meta in an attempt to just get a win once in a while.

With the number of people who hate where this game is now you can either view it two ways; either Riot is ignoring the pleas of it's players, or it's a classic boy who cried wolf situation.

I personally think it's the latter. People complained that things were terrible, so Riot tried making it better. People still complained, and yet the game continued to grow in popularity. People constantly say what you're saying, for years on end, and eventually Riot just stopped listening. It wasn't worth it to listen to the vocal minority anymore, outside of very specific reasons.

People need to be vocal, sure, but if you're vocal too much people will learn to ignore you. It's just human nature.

It is not making a mountain out of a molehill.

Everyone's saying LCS is more boring to watch than ever, even, and that's where Riot's trying to pool most of their money.

Gameplay is all snowball, and even when its not, games end so anticlimactically that you just feel disappointed. And that's just because of Summoner's Rift. That's not even considering champion balance, which is more upset than ever before, especially when considering player frustration when facing various things. Those just amplify the issue.

The game isn't dying, but they're moving away from being an actual competitive game. That includes: Lack of solo queue (which is the most minor), champion balance, map balance, item balance. The former 3 make LCS unbearably slow or stompy, and always anticlimactic as well.

Just wait and see. The number of supporters will slowly drop. You should realize this since there are more people voicing their discontent with the state of the game than ever before. By a significant margin. And on top of that, more people are leaving due to balance issues than community issues which says a ton, considering how bad the overall community is.

To go further, the amount of new players coming in are relatively low because mistakes are punished much harder now, new player experience is only declining due to smurfs, and the negativity they have to deal with just make getting into the game not worth it to them.

You really don't think there's anything wrong when you look at the big picture? lol

Just go play other stuff for a bit. You will come back, i know i did. Fallout helped but nothing matches up to League. If you do quit dont go trolling the boards saying 'i gave up three months ago and quit playing' that's all i ask

You should see how many people are being 'that guy' and getting upvoted.

Just because the game has an absurd amount of fanboys that believe Riot can do no wrong doesn't mean they're immune to the damage they're causing.

If you want a new game, I've started playing blade and soul and find it to be a lot of fun. Just a suggestion as I am doing the same thing as you.

Chicken Little has been saying the sky is falling for years now, yet it's still there. You're unhappy. You have opinions. That's fine. But the harbinger of doom bit is stale.

You're spamming Vlad top /Cho jungle games. Perhaps diversifying a bit more in your champ pool would help.

I don't normally play vlad/cho. Vlad's mid or top, and honestly I play it because of the challenge during laning as him. Cho I rarely ever play normally.

I normally play Skarner and do pretty well, and I find him very enjoyable.

Diversifying my champion pool does not correct the blatant issues with the game right now. Its not because the game feels boring. Its because its a broken mess.

Again, the issue isn't that the champions I play feel boring, or powerful, its that the game, as a whole, is in a terrible state that, the large majority of the time, makes it unsatisfying after laning.

You mean your opinion on what you feel are issues right now. You don't represent the entire playerbase. Neither does this forum. It's statistically a small part of the playerbase. There's far more that simply play the game. Believe it or not, there's plenty who play who never watch esports or twitch.tv or other streaming sites in general.

There will always be complaints. If the game was in a state you liked, others would complain. There will never be a perfect state in the game. You can either play, or not. It's not going to hurt Riot either way.

People have been saying the game has been dying for years, but the player numbers have remained stable.

You're perfectly entitled to feeling unhappy, but it's personal. We've all had moments where a decision from Riot has displeased us. It happens. Idea is you either roll with the punches or tap out.
