I want to purchase a nice ring for myself, but I'm 8 1/2 ring size... the website only does full sizes only...

Do I get an 8 sized ring or a 9 sized one? item 1056

As long as it actually functions, go with 9. you don't want to go with a ring that's too small. you'll end up at an emergency room later that night with a very embarassing story to tell the next day :o It happens more often than you think...

you'd be better off just finding a new website

if its too big it will just slide off and be super annoying. if its too small it will cut off your circulation and be super painful and maybe even send you to the doctor.

Do you even lift, bro?

Do some finger curls and gain some mass!*

On a serious note, you can get rings resized, depending on the ring material and style. There are also inserts that can tighten the fit without permanently altering a ring. Never undersize a ring. Even if you can squeeze into it, that's dangerous for multiple reasons. If you've got a knuckle wider than your proximal phalanx, you could end up in a situation similar to a child whose head has gotten stuck between railings. Head squeezes in, screaming ensues. Temperature changes can tighten a fit, as can general body swelling fluctuations. There have been some days that my class ring was so snug I couldn't pull it off, and other days that waving at someone made it fly across the room.
