If you know that the enemy is doing dragon but you don't have vision of it, just look at your scoreboard (tab). Up at the top there are 2 dragon icons which will slowly light up as a team gets dragons. The enemy's will light up even if you don't have vision of dragon and when they get it. Just a useful tip so that you can get timer on when dragon spawns. I've noticed that people haven't noticed this yet.
Hrm. I wonder if that display is connected, perhaps, to vision of the buff on their champions.
As in: if you don't see dragon die, and have no vision of enemy champs when it does, it won't update until you see either the empty pit or a newly-buffed champion. That would make it function similar to viewing builds on the scoreboard.
Sometime to watch for, perhaps.
It's not instantaneous. Checked it after knowing other team did Drag but not having vision, scale didn't light up for about a minute. It may only light up once your team clears the pit, not sure about that though.
