Starting to lose faith in the community, please post some uplifting anecdotes about the playerbase

Just starting playing league a few months ago. My initial thoughts:

Level 5: Everybody is so nice! I was pleasantly surprised nobody was arguing or flaming, especially given the nature of team games. I was completely new and often fed the other team to oblivion but people would give tips and suggestions rather than insulting me.

Level 10: Okay, there's a few players being dicks but at least people are calling them out for it. There's starting to be a few veiled insults like "why didn't you ult?" and "can you stop ksing?" and "annie fed katarina so much", but most of the time a modest reply will defuse the bomb.

Level 15: Sure I went 0-4-1 by 10 minutes, but I can't control how well I do in game. I guess some people are frustrated at my lackluster performance and usually if I ignore them, they won't follow up on their flaming. Most players are usually quiet and many congratulate good plays.

Today: Almost everyone stays silent except for the flamers. Got insulted without reason and reported someone for the first time today. At this point, whenever I see a Garen in game, I will always assume they will insult me. I don't reply but I don't ignore them either, so I guess it's partly my fault. Maybe I should learn to use the ignore function. I'm losing faith in the community, somebody please help restore it.

League Community sucks shit. Worst community of people I've ever seen on a forum. The amount of whining and bitching is taken to an extreme level.

In addition the one's who create the Threads are the Salty ones who are just wanting attention anyways

The toxic players are (unfortunately) all in the low mmr range. Get about 800 wins and it starts getting nice.

You are probable playing with smurfs who play just to pub stomp new guys which is stupid and they are always hella toxic. But then again this is the internet so people who talk a lot are the guys trying to knock you down a notch to make them feel better.

This is why we Duo Que, always bring a friend. XD As for a happy anecdote, I have one. I had just bought Blitzcrank, and immediately rushed to play him in a normals game. In my luck, no one wanted to play support. ^~^ (kinda the reason I wanted to play Crank) I felt obliged to mention to my comrades, "Hey, guys, this is my first time playing Blitz." Of course, the general groans ensured, one of them urging me to play someone else. But lo and behold, by the time we assigned the lanes, we were auto locked in. So, with grim determination, I headed to bot lane, with gentle encouragements from my ADC and the usual "Don't Feed." Having played Ezreal for over 100 games, I felt confident in landing skillshots/grabs. The next thirty minutes were but a blur of grabs and ganks. At one point I accidentally hit Q and, like a magician pulling a rabbit out of a hat, I snagged an enemy jungler from an unwarded bush, ready to gank, and earned the grudging admiration of the same player who informed me to pick someone else. I came out that game 8/12/31, dying way too much because I overestimated my tankiness (still do lol, I dive into teamfights when everyone else backs away), and accidentally KS-ing by underestimating my power. So it comes down to don't be afraid to try something new, when someone else discourages you. You learn from the experience.

Good news and bad News

The Bad: More and more people will flame at you for no reason as you level up to 30. You get some really awesome people but are more likely to get ragers

The Good: From my experience, the amount of people who flame for KSes go down drastically at level 30 (the few who still do are some of the worst)

Well, in my recent experience, I haven't seen too many bad players. I did see one really bad thing today where their bot lane fed our bot lane 2-3 kills, and their jungler started flaming them. Their jungler even AFK'd for a few minutes, and ff'd at 20. Their top laner and my lane opponent was the only one to vote no to the surrender, despite me amassing 3 solo kills off him throughout the laning phase. I reported the jungler and honored the top laner :D

That went from sad to happy kinda.
