I post a screen shot with some guy admitting to be trolling in champ select, and they delete it. rito, I'm only helping you to do your job easier, why you remove it and get mad with me?

The forums have a policy against naming-and-shaming players. If you want Riot to act on it, submit a support ticket instead.

I no shame. I simply put it out there lol. They obviously aren't "shamed" by it, or they wouldn't do it.

If you didn't remove the player in question's summoner name from the screenshot, then you were shaming them. Riot has been pretty clear on this policy for several years.

Also, you thread may have been closed due to excessive reports from players who are aware of this policy.

What is shaming? I didn't shame anyone. I simply said, "this guy is doing this". If he found it as being "shamed" I don't think he would have done it.

If you need clarification, it's also detailed under the boards Universal Rules, specifically under "Reporting Other Players". Riot is pretty clear about their stance on this matter.

I'm confused about when Riot said they can't ban trolls. They do ban trolls. I've seen it quite a few times, ranging from intentional feeders to players calling out teammates' positions to Trundle/Anivia blocks.

I tell you about ban cases I literally saw happen - cases that were judged by the Tribunal and by Rioters, and were upheld - and your response is to tell me they got off scott free?

Those two are pretty obviously examples, like running into a turret. But if you include trolls as a whole, they don't ban.

Also, there is not tribunal anymore. Riot has moved on from that. How do they do it now exactly?

It was three examples, actually:

Intentional feeding
Assisting enemy team (calling positions in all-chat and similar behaviors)
Intentional griefing (for example, using Trundle's pillar to disrupt your own team by preventing your teammates from escaping or ensuring the enemy team escapes)

If you can name other "troll" behaviors, I'm willing to bet I can remember (and maybe even find) a specific case I have seen or discussed where a player was banned for the behavior.

The Tribunal will be back. Soon, hopefully. In the meantime, reports are handled the same way, cases are built by the same criteria, and those cases are still judged - by Rioters rather than players. It's notable that Rioters are more strict than the Tribunal was, and that they have more tools (so more information) available to judge those cases with.

Ill put it this way, if they were more strict, I would't have a 1/12 top lane rage quitting. Only to look at their lolking and see that 1/12 is there average score.

I'm sorry, I guess I don't understand how a 1/12 KD automatically equates to a troll.

I also don't understand how a troll (by common definition, a person who intentionally sets out to irritate or anger others - by League definition, a player who intentionally sets out to screw over his own team) would rage-quit when he's obviously managing to screw the game over. In my experience, trolls tend to want to stick around and see the effects of their work.

Because feeding your lane by and running into the enemy 3v1 is trolling. And he rage quit because he got turned of trolling, tried to surrender, but me and one other person decided to vote no to surrender so that he didn't get his way. We when then able to drag the game out until he rage quit after multiple failed votes :D

The reason for the question - and my point - is that your statement conflicts with what I know to be true. And that is this: Riot bans trolls.

The fact that they don't do it says they cant :D

Obviously there wouldn't be people complaining about them so frequently if they did something. Also, you report someone for trolling. Then you look at their match history and clearly see that they were not banned.

But I have actually seen trolls get banned. I have read posts from reds upholding those bans. I've even read posts from reds escalating those bans.

If they don't ban trolls, how did I see them ban trolls?

If they can't ban trolls, how did they ban those trolls I saw them ban?

Obviously, there's a conflict here.
