Why can't solo queue and dynamic queue both exist. There are the obvious assumptions but nothing regarding this is mentioned in the video.

Because how is dynamic queue supposed to work if all of the solo players are in solo queue? A team of 4 would never play. (Of course, this is an extreme example.)

That's the assumption, however we don't know that for a fact. Unless Riot comes out with stats showing that solos are a crutch of dynamic we don't know for sure. Another theory is just to prevent devaluation of dynamic rank.
