Why I don't play ranked

There are many reasons why I don't play ranked. Perhaps too many to count. None of it is from Riot; it's all you out there. You're the people I have to deal with in-game. You act like a shitheel in normals and then pretend you're actually a bastion saint of civility and niceness in ranked, because god forbid you don't get the skin for that one champion you never actually play, or maybe you get chat banned (or game banned) because you said something that makes what Dunkey said as innocent as the opening to Sesame Street, and it's a wonder the police haven't come yet to ARREST you.

In actuality, you're WORSE in ranked, oh god so much worse! You'll conspire to throw an entire game in the champion select screen over the tiniest of things, and the rest of us are caught in a Morton's Fork in which we can't back out of the queue at risk of losing LP, or we play the game and run the risk of losing LP because of your miserable ass. I learned back when I started playing this game two years ago that you're working off of a hair trigger temper with a broken fuse, and the fact that I can evoke murderous hatred from people just by existing near them doesn't help at all. You'll throw yourself to the ground and throw a cosmic temper tantrum because of even the absolute slightest thing; I wonder how you haven't been permabanned yet because of such abhorrent, deplorable behavior, or if you have, just how many accounts you have burned through with your shitty shenanigans.

  • Banning the wrong champions
  • Banning your main
  • Banning your second main
  • Banning your friend's main
  • Having the wrong masteries
  • Your allies having the wrong masteries
  • Having the wrong runes
  • Your allies having the wrong runes
  • Having the wrong summoner spells
  • Having the summoner spells in the wrong order
  • Your allies having the wrong summoner spells
  • Your allies having their summoner spells in the wrong order
  • Being last pick
  • Not being first pick
  • Someone picking your role
  • Someone not picking the role you want them to go
  • Someone picking your champion on either team
  • Picking a champion you don't like
  • Playing with people of a lesser rank than you
  • Playing against people of a higher rank

This is just in the champion select screen alone, and it's always one or more of these things every time I enter ranked! When we get into the game, it just spirals down from there.

  • Getting asked to leash
  • Not getting a leash
  • Not getting leashed hard enough
  • Missing the smite
  • Enemy team gets first blood
  • You don't get first blood
  • The support took a minion
  • The support took a minion... and you're in top lane
  • You lost the turret
  • You didn't reach level 6 fast enough
  • You didn't get first dragon
  • You didn't get first dragon fast enough
  • You burned your flash too quickly
  • You didn't get a gank fast enough
  • You didn't get a kill fast enough
  • Support doesn't build sightstone (though they're still doing more than their share of warding duty)
  • Support didn't die in the last fight for you (no matter how unnecessary that would have been)
  • Support died in the last fight for you (and saved your life)
  • Someone "KSed" you (even if you ran the risk of dying)
  • Support got the kill (even if you were nowhere near the fight)
  • Support got the assist (means they attempted to steal the kill)
  • Someone didn't build the right item first
  • Someone built an item you never build
  • Asked to ward
  • Asked to upgrade trinket
  • The support talked back at you
  • Not getting peeled (though you were, and at great cost, and you survived)
  • Last gank didn't go so well (though nobody died)
  • Last gank, you didn't get any kills (though the enemy died and the turret is defenseless)
  • Getting aced
  • Enemy gets a killing spree
  • Enemy gets a killing spree before you do.
  • Ally gets a killing spree before you do
  • Support gets a killing spree
  • You can't push out from the turret
  • Because the meta says you should

Like before, this isn't even all of them. I feel like I'm constantly walking on eggshells because one of you will snap like a banjo string and start flipping eight tons of apeshit because not everyone acts the same as you, or does the things you want them to. You have made ranked so acidic I have only played less than 20 games this entire season, and 17 of those games were filled with your vitriol. STOP IT.

You must not be very smart. I asked for Riot's affirmative stance that they enforce and endorse the meta, and that a sightstone is required therein. I don't know why I even read these forums, it's filled with 12 year old kids that lack the knowledge to understand a basic request.

Maybe it's that I just can't stand stupid people who think the meta in this game is gospel. There are always ways to change the game up and play it differently, and just because you see a full team of 5 pro players play it one way, doesn't mean that's how it should always be played.

Because the support is the support?.. thought that was obvious, but I guess the world has idiots like you still. Now I'm not saying other people shouldn't get wards(ward trinket or just buying normally), but the support used to literally be known as the "ward bitch" and basically still is, just a little looser since they don't have to buy 20 wards at a time and get the entire map warded, they can just buy a sightstone and get the max 3 wards across the map and then 1 more before they recall again. Two if they get RSS.

Support is the supportive guy. Healing, engage, disengage, main vision control(placing and getting rid of wards), other utility such as Bard's magical journey, etc.

That's just them. Any support who builds full AP or some shit basically isn't even a support. Just another carry.

You realize that Riot changed the rules because it completely invalidated support champion's kits and utilities? Literally anyone can throw down twenty trillion wards, but it takes a good player to actually use their champion's utility to benefit the rest of the team; that's what I do. Also realize that the support ends up doing about thirteen times more things than anyone else on the team, depending on how many people want to just focus on damage. It won't kill anyone to upgrade the trinket for the pittance that is 250 gold.

I don't need to build Sightstone to still ward more than the rest of the team combined, and then some, with just the trinket. If everyone did their fair share of warding, the Sightstone would be completely irrelevant. Which it is because of the existence of the GST and absolute ward limit. I don't care what "da proz" do; I will not let their arbitrary decisions govern my life.

I'm complaining about people getting pissed in ranked and throwing entire games because of completely arbitrary things, all this conspired while we're still in the champion select screen. You completely missed EVERYTHING I said.

I play lots of ranked and never have anyone rage at me. Probably because I try every game and know how the fuck to build and act. Doesn't mean I always win or even play well but I communicate and follow the calls. Do the same and you won't have to bleed out all over the forums about how people are meeeeeean to you in ranked.

Quit being a fucking spaz and learn how to build and all of a sudden people have less to complain about to you.

Once again, you missed everything I said in the original post. You're selectively listening to only what you want to validate your own deluded sense of hate and rage.

People lost their shit in the champion select screen alone, long before I could do A-NY-THING. Three of the players on the team went and started intentionally feeding in their own lanes before I could build anything past the starter items, and they blame ME for it, even though neither I nor my lane opponent interfered with any other lanes until after the laning phase was over, and after others got fed and not because of anything I did. And by the time this happens I can't really do anything about it, especially when three of them decided to have an axe to grind against me.

People expect me to play champions I have no experience with or I don't have (Lee Sin, Riven, Zed, Yasuo, etc.) by sheer virtue that "everyone plays them", and if I don't pick them, guess what, that's an instaloss for us again.

Everything people throw shit over is completely arbitrary and refuse to adapt or face even the slightest tribulations or changes in routine. So I don't do what you want me to do; BOO FUCKING HOO. I play how I want to play, and if it works, you can go blow it out your ass.

I'm sure that eventually you'll realize that it's your fault but I guess that day is not today.

I just have no idea why you need to play ranked with your terrible attitude. Go play vs bots.
