One that after years only had a BOARD GAME to show. Not that I am complaining but... IF I HAD FRIENDS TO PLAY BOARDGAMES WITH I WOULDN'T BE WASTING MY LIFE IN THIS SALTMINE THAT THIS GAME IS. Heck, I don't even have friends to play LEAGUE with anymore as they all quitted or dropped the game for various reasons.
So either this team is horribly underfunded or they are really taking their time - but with what?
Theyres been quite a few rumors over time including a card game called supremecy. Also r+d is more than just games its ecerythinh. Including riot stating they were working on there own isp.
Well, there's the rumored Riot fighting game they were producing. No one knows for sure if it got cancelled or not, but they still bought out the Rising Thunder devteam I hear.
The Riot API has made some recent changes to accommodate multiple games, most notably the transition from Summoner ID to Account ID for looking up players. There's also a handful of small games that have hit (Blitzcranks Poro Roundup) and the mobile app.
Not everything an R&D team does results in a new product, sometimes it's finding better ways to make/use your existing product.
