Hey, all.

I see a lot of people looking for a way to honor Dyrus' long league career now that he is retiring. I think that it might be fitting add a small reference to him in-game via one of his favorite items to build: http://i.imgur.com/PJguk2q.png

There is precedent for players/rioters being honored by having items named after them, such as the case of Athene's Unholy Grail and Guinsoo's Rageblade.

And they are thinking of changing the item a bit, so a name change would work well

Ohmwrecker was for a guy who believed in Riot when they were nothing and helped make them who they are now so he got his own item.

Other than that, I personally don't know Dyrus (other than his Maokai and being camped) A custom item, reference, tends to be for very special people that have made an impact on league.

Ohmwrecker - Helped make League what it is now Brolaf - Custom quote for a dying kid who loved Olaf. (There's one more that I can't remember)

Has he done something that other popular pro players haven't for Riot? (Honest question)

well, there had been quite a lot of players retired already that had a huge impact - if they would want to do that for every player they had to add tons of items at some point (missaya´s hourglass, chaoxblade, LamiaScale, Genja´s Blade, ...). I´m not entirly opposed, but i wouldn´t want to choose which player is worthy of getting an item and which isn´t...

To be honest a reference in an item description sounds a lot easier to implement than some of the other suggestions ( a whole skin!)
