Why am I getting S4 Platinum players in games with Challengers?

This is really fucking stupid.

How is this working as intended? These players are single handedly losing the game for their team, every single time, because they don't belong at their rating.

Because there was a soft(ish) reset. If this sort of thing never happened, the reset would be pointless.
