What did you use to play ? item 3157 This little gem can save you from his ulti after he cast it if you time it well.

There is also item 3102 if he is trigger happy on pressing that R as soon as he sees a target. BUT its not as reliable as item 3157 since you can react to it and go: "LOL! NOPE!" Just hope he doesn't drop a super strong Dark Matter where you went into Stasis!

That is kinda what he does. He is THE Burst Mage. Especially on a single target... Its so fun! Plus he can reach 1000+ AP if he stacks his passive well and gets a item 3089 (this is essentially CORE on him).

Its absurd he gains AP just for landing his Q. Literally the dumbest change ever. Imagine if Nasus got a stack every time he auto attacked or Sion got HP just for hitting a minion, so dumb.
