Not Playing Ranked Ever Again

I've played something like 8,000 games since 2010 maybe more, no clue because of the wipe. I was never interested in ranked. I have played with bronze, silver, gold, plat, diamond, master, and challenger players in normals and ARAM. My friends recently got burnt out on league so I started playing ranked a little. Get S4 in preseason, riot decides to do a soft reset so a month later I drop into bronze despite going 7-3. The people in my ranked games are so alien to me. The decisions they make and their reasoning is broken.

I don't know what metric Riot uses for it's match making system but it's done terrible things to me. I can't enjoy the game in this setting.

100% agreement, that's why so many players no longer play, its all noobs now. You're part of the silent majority.

The "soft reset" hits harder to those who don't play ranked a lot, to those who dont play enough to show they belong where they are.

No shame in moving on from a game, just cherish the good times you had on it. Hope you can follow your friends, whatever they may be playing. You seem like a pretty cool dude.
