Why does Riot start seasons before they are ready?

Like, they couldn't have waited until they got their new queue system stable and in place before resetting the ladder?

I just don't get it.

How does starting the ranked season when they client is constantly switching back and forth between queues generate them any money though? It just makes them look bad at a time where a lot of people come back to play again after taking breaks...

I believe they rolled out the new que to stress test it. It seems the stress shut er down! I was waiting to que up when it took a huge shite. Glad it happened so they can address the issues and bring it back. That HUD was shmexy!

Which begs the question, is the best time to stress test a new queue system the beginning of a season where everyone has their placement matches?

I just think they would've done that first, then reset the ladder and have everyone be able to utilize the new queue system for their placement matches and beyond.

I think that would be an ideal time to test it. The starting day of the season is going to have the most logins. That is what a stress test is for.
