How I made it out of bronze
We've all heard it, probably all said it - "I always carry my team, but they're too bad to be carried, how am i supposed to make it out of bronze hell?" Well I reached silver last week after starting B5 at the start of season 6; and this is how you can too.
I finally started winning very consistently after I came to this realization: your rank is not a rating of how good you are, but how good you make your team.
This could not be more true, and it should redefine how you play league of legends. So many players stick to their one roll with one thing on their mind, get as many kills as possible without regard to objectives. If I had a dollar for every time my bronze teammates backed after ace-ing the enemy team, instead of taking a free turret or baron, I'd be Donald Trump.
OBJECTIVES are and always will be more important than kills. I mostly mained support out of bronze which proves to you that you don't have to "Carry" your team. I carried my team through good communication, good warding and verbal support. Not "Good job buddy" support. I mean "4 enemies are bot lane, top turret can be pushed" or "3 players top, lets get drag." MAP AWARENESS is non existent in Bronze. You can help your team dramatically in this area. You have 10 free wards on your team. When was the last time you saw even half of those in use? BUY PINKS. I don't care what role you are. BUY WARDS. Its not the supports job to ward every lane. No one buys wards in Bronze. That means your ENTIRE team is going to have a huge advantage over the enemy team because mid lane put a couple pinks in their jg. The other team won't have that kind of vision. More vision = less deaths and more kills, always. Thats a hell of a lot of benefit for only 75 gold...
Forget about kills/Deaths. Forget about your teammates doing bad. Once you go toxic, your chance of persuading your teammates to push a tower or dragon when they normally would back to spend 470 gold is gone. Buy WARDS. Take OBJECTIVES. And have better MAP AWARENESS. Your rank is Bronze because you suck at making your team better. Now I can say Im silver and I suck slightly less. haha. Work on those 3 things (with your teammates through healthy communication), and you will win more games. Easy right?
