One mastery is added to the game, and his winrate shoots up to 55%.

Yeah, let's just ignore how the entire setup and playstyle of the jungle has changed in the same patch along with the meta picks shifting. and itemization changing..

The keystone is definitely the sole factor here.

None of his key items have been changed. And the jungle didn't honestly change that badly either. Yes I'm going to blame it on the 35% max health shield he gets when He ults into a team fight.

While his items haven't changed, the builds (and champions played) around him have.

This means that the champions played and how they are built around him will be altered.

In addition, the jungle changes affected everybody. They changed the rate of gold and experience gains, camp respawn timers have lengthen (leaving more time to gank), different champions are being played to suit the new jungle and much more.

Champions don't exist in a vacuum. While Courage of the Colossus is a contributing factor, there is far more to it than that.

Hecarim is OP in my opinion because half your offense and defense in this game is movement speed, so his steroid allows him to stick to targets or escape easily.
