Honestly while I was kidding about you being the AFK I generally find teams with more toxic members have more AFK. I pretty much never rage and I also almost never have AFKs, when I get really frustrated and start pointing out people's mistakes that's when the AFKs come, that and when somebody else rages and I don't take the time to stop them. 15 games and I've dealt with a total of 1 afk/rager/troll on my teams. I don't believe it's because I'm lucky I played a bunch of games last season with the same kind of averages :)

An AFK is different from a DC. DC has connection problems an AFK is somebody who chooses to leave, you actually have an influence on people AFKing and I generally find friends who complain about having a lot of AFKs are the same friends I won't play with because they rage or are toxic in every game.

Lol I knew you were. You can expect the downvotes you are getting, however, because the community isn't the smartest. These haven't been "toxic" afks though lol. 1 never connected, another one said "bye" and left lol. His duo said his power went out. That literally makes no sense in any way, shape, or form. He then left too. Obvious trolling duo. The other was in my promos because he though he was a "gatekeeper" or whatever lol.

I honestly wasn't watching my votes, not that I really care. People are going to downvote me when I say stuff like that because people get upset when you don't necessarily agree with their problems.

1 wasn't an AFK, if he never connects he's considered a DC because it's normally a connection issue thing.

I can't really say much for the other ones. I never claim I'm in promos (a gatekeeper is someone who tries to keep people from wining their best of 5s normally) or that I'm in a duo because it always invites problems (in fact I'm planning to not duo ranked at all this year) if you do have a specific problem with duos trolling though finding a duo partner will cut all of them out because you can't have more than 1 duo on your team.

I don't say it either, but they can easily check sits that tell you lol.

And I still consider it an afk. I doubt they had "connection" issues for a solid 30 mins.

Idk normally when I don't make a big deal of it people don't care.

No an AFK is normally someone who sits around writing in chat or walks around in base, a DC is someone who disconnects from the game entirely while an AFK just isn't doing anything, so someone who never connects (and it has happened to me where my client or internet has bugged out) isn't technically AFK they're not connected.

Either way it sucks to have them on either team.

Yeah the first month of the new season is always like this. All the players that haven't played for a while are waking up out of their long sleep, and then being scumbags. I think 60% of my placements had an afk on either my team or the enemy team (which is pretty ridiculous). I was playing ~2200-2400 mmr before the reset, and now there is a HUGE discrepancy in basic skill levels in my games, both on my team and the enemy team.

Including me, because now I need to play champs that can carry and do damage (which I don't have a lot of practice on) instead of my favorite tanky support champs!

After a month or so, all the afks will get leavebustered or drop lower in mmr and you should balance back out. But yeah, hang in there!

EDIT: Another thought. Why not duo? Stack the deck in your favor since you know your duo won't dc!

I find duo cheap haha. Also, everytime I add a duo partner, they straight suck the second match lol. Can't take chances with players that don't understand diving an 5-0 enemy will get you killed when you are 0-5.

Yeah, you can't just duo with anybody. I have a pal who was on my ranked team that I like to duo with. We're friends in real life and have played probably a hundred games together. Makes a BIG difference duoing with a guy like that versus duoing with that random guy who got lucky one game you were in. See what I mean?

Oh and it is definitely cheap. But other people are doing it, so why not you too?

I duod with my real life friend last season. I was gold and he was Plat lol, so we were able. I find it funny I play better at higher elo, but I digress. Anyway, I was silver after promos (since rito dicked everyone) and he was stil plat. He was able to climb into diamond before I have reached gold, so we can't duo anymore :'(

Everyone is playing MR OP champs Zed LeeSin JarvanIV Azir RekSai , but I still refuse to lol. I refuse to conform to rito's standards. I would rather lose alone than to be cheap with duos or OP champs lol.

I'm not saying that you are ACTUALLY encouraging anyone to leave; in fact, I highly doubt you are.

I can just imagine a Riot Employee trying to save his/ her company's ass by claiming that you're skewing the stats in your favor.

Or he/ she could just delete the post.
