You see it everywhere, on almost any board. If someone suggests a nerf to a champion, if someone suggest an item change, if someone plays a different style champ then someone else, suggests a rework, someone will probably say something to the equivalent of "you're probably Bronze, aren't you?".

People act like, just because you are in bronze, you don't matter. Just because you are in Bronze, you don't know game mechanics, you can't recognize when an champ is too powerful, when an item should be changed, or create ideas on what items should be added.

We matter too. I'm Bronze 2, I've played 169 games and have won 89 of them. My friend is a Silver 3 and has won a grand total of ...12 games.

Bronze players play this game a lot, and they spend a lot of actual money into the game to get the champions and skins they want. Can't you give them the slightest bit of respect?

I'd say that we low elo deserve as much respect as we give.

In any debate, there's ethos, logos, and pathos. Obviously being bronze and silver (and sometimes gold too) won't give you much in the ethos department, but that doesn't mean you can't use logos to great effect. On the flip side, if you're Plat and only lord about your rank with no other substance to your position, you're just as much as a problem as bronze players who think they know everything.

So if you can come up with a substantial argument with a strong foundation, your rank helps if it's high but ultimately your argument should speak for itself, not your rank.

Yes utilizing Logos, Ethos, and Pathos is great for people that actually listen to any of those forms of argument. But many don't. If I said that Illaoi is too powerful, no one would argue with me. If I said that Katarina is too powerful because she is 1.) A cooldown champion 2.) A passive that lowers CD on all abilities by 15 secs which just reset Q,W,E and makes her ult more spammable 3.) does magic damage that can also scale off of AD 4.) Has a built in flash and 5.) Has a point and click Q that triggers a AOE, thus leading to what is essentially free poke against her mid laner, but then let it slip that I am bronze, people will completely ignore my argument. They will not actually address the things that I mentioned and will completely ignore me because I am bronze and because I have said something that is against the meta of the higher elos

Well, if it helps that's likely due to Katarina being an absolute pain in the ass about a year or two ago(? Not quite sure on the time frame) and stuff happened and she became a learning tool for new players to learn how to handle assassins similar to Annie and Master Yi. Maybe it was the removal of DFG?

If it helps, I can answer the Katarina thing for ya. The watered down response is "just cc her," the more in-depth response is "Time it right and cc her correctly. Katarina is an excellent learning tool for teamfights: you learn not to waste your cc at the beginning of the teamfight, managing your cooldowns, and using the correct cc on the correct targets at the correct time. For instance, using slows or snares are basically useless on Katarina and will not inhibit most of her kit once she's in range. Use that instead on the tank before they can get in range of your carries and set up a free Katarina ult, instead of stunning the tank like so, so many people do when new to the game. You want to stun Katarina when she's in a bad position (usually during her ult, I guess), or you can get into position to kill her during the duration (usually... when she's not positioned correctly for her team to save her).

Anyway, I think the main reason people don't listen to your Katarina complaints is that, honestly, she's probably the first assassin to give people trouble alongside Master Yi and people eventually learn how to handle her. Fortunately you probably weren't playing in the meta where she was in basically in every game, and thus probably don't have the level of experience some of us do (suffice to say, so many of us were so sick of her shit we practiced and practiced until we could send Katarina mains to the hospital with butthurt). Your complaints are valid, she is quite the annoying champion, but she's probably one of the lower assassins that just requires a bit of experience to learn how to handle. Hence the remarks about your rank (which I am not condoning, mind you!).

Also we're kind of in a somewhat cc heavy and carry meta, which isn't too good for Katarina. Bruisers kind of kick assassin ass.

Lol I'm not actually trying to structure an argument against Katarina here. I just went to that as an example cause I remember when I first started LOL in season 4 Assassins were super potent, and whenever I tried to speak against it I would just get shut down and no one would pay attention. Now they are out of meta and people are like "Thank god they aren't meta anymore!!!" and I'm just like "serioulsy?". Anyways the juggernauts are freaking stupid

Bronzes should be treated just like anyone else. Except when they make some post like that Master Yi is OP he just q auto killed my whole team for a pentakill NERF NOW!!!!!!! That's when we have to point out to them the things that don't understand and why Yi isn't really OP. So really, a lot of their balance suggestions may need to be taken with a grain of salt, and with attempting to consider a lot of things that maybe they didn't, but otherwise I wouldn't think of them as any different than a good player.
