What happened when I quit playing league religiously.

YoungFarmer··7 votes·730 views

I'm down to play league basically a few times every couple of weeks and honestly my life is so much fucking better now. I played league almost religiously for 3 years and never realized how fucking horrible it made me feel, I got lazy, angry all the time from losing, didn't go out and do anything. I now barely play and honestly when I do I really am only playing because I have nothing else to do (between shifts at work) and Iv never been happier. For me and I'm sure I'm not the only one this game litterally sucks the life out of you like no other game has ever done before. I'm fairly certain I have lost years of my life to the stress induced from league of legends. Now I'm not saying its a bad game, but honestly people I suggest giving it up for a couple of months and seeing how your life changes for the better because I can almost guarantee it will.

It's usually the same story with all the people who quit a game in situations like this. They'll say the game is the cause when it's just the lack of time management, this happens on every game from overwatch, lol, MMORPGs. Now if a proper player quits a game, life would still be more or less the same unless you fill that position with a more "productive". It's not even just gaming, any addiction in general.

League is the only game or really activity that I have spent so much time on. I have blown off doing stuff just so I could play league. So yes It was an unhealthy addiction.

Honestly this game pisses me off more than Demon Souls, or the Dark Souls games; I get how you feel. At least in those games you know for certain the community is gonna stretch your anus, but in League I feel like people are expecting a more relaxed environment, and for some they get it, but for most people I meet they just wanna murder everyone around them lol.

I'll be honest, League is addicting, but Awhile back I took a break and enjoyed myself, found tons of other games that are so much fun, of course I still come back to league, but not as often.

I'm happy to see people were able to leave and feel better, I'm trying to do the same. I'm just progressively playing less league and doing more stuff out. I am feeling better but its kind of hard cause league was my go to when I had nothing to do. Any advice on how to deal with that? cause it's the only thing I struggle with.

Same problem, I had. for 3 years every moment of spare time was spent on league for me. I have just started going out more, reading and of course working for money.
