While obviously this doesn't solve EVERY issue, using a cable into a router significantly lessens any significant spikes and DCs. Most of the time, it isn't a server problem, it's your own fault. And using a cable generally tends to fix that problem, unless you have a bad ISP.

tl;dr, Only complain AFTER you've used an ethernet cord and it continues to fail.

Okay.

I use an ethernet cord and I get about 30mbps down and 5 mbps up.

I also have 95-100 consistent ping because I live in Virginia.

I also get lag spikes occasionally shooting up to 120-180 ping, and sometimes as high as 800+

Sure, wifi isn't optimal, but it doesn't excuse the poor connection you get simply for living anywhere east of colorado.
