I feel like hextech crafting is a rip off.

So I just got Pulse fire Ezreal from a hextech chest and I was quite happy, but when I wanted to upgrade him to a skin permanent I came to find that it takes me 2950 orange essence to do so.

2950 ORANGE ESSENCE Luckily I have 5 other skins I can disenchant for essence right... 5 disenchants together are 1600 orange essence. Wtf. So let's say I need about 4 more skin shards to get my legendary skin, that means I need 9 hextech chests, with the 1 needed for the legendary skin that makes 10. That means 10 Hextech chests IF you get only skin shards.

So IF you get 1 legendary skin and 9 hextech chests with all skins you disenchant you can get your legendary for about 15 to 20 bucks, that means you might as well buy the skin, but wait there is an advantage to buying you skin, you're guaranteed to get it in stead of just getting lucky. For all you know you spend 50 bucks and don't get enough essence for your upgrade.

This hextech sh*t is a god damn scam.

it's free bruh.

without it you would never have the chance of getting free skins.

ofc Ultimate Skins are expensive as hell and you would have to save up a lot of shards to make one Permanent, but still you have the chance of getting it free.

One Ultimate costs about 20€, ofc they won't put it for 1000 Essence

I'm lucky if I even get a skin to a character I even play on the regular. Let alone even achieving a chest all on its own. 4 chests a month and I haven't seen 1 in what seems like since the beginning of when it first started.

Everyone keeps saying it's free, but I don't think the concept applies when you are being manipulated into buying stuff. And not just like that, no you are manipulated heavily. Why do you think this lootcrate sh*t is being implemented in tons of games, because the psychology behind it is so strong and it makes a lot of money. Yeah it's free, but no it's not as simple as that.

then don't use it, you're bitching about getting free shit ffs.

Should I even debate how something free cannot be a rip off.... .... - Reason I don't 100% believe in democracy, cause people are to dumb to make there own choices.

PFE is an Ultimate Skin, they cost 3250 RP which is around $25 in most places, so of course the Hextech price (2950) is gonna be high. The values you get back from shard disenchanting is meant to be pretty low so that you can't just unlock everything in the game by playing at a simple pace. If they did that then they'd make absolutly no money.

I mean, you still could try, but it'd take a long long long time.

Has all of the prices, disenchanting, ect in it for future reference.

Ultimate skins are actually about $24 USD if you do the math off the 5k rp package, so looking at it that way you still save money, but the fact that you could get a $24 skin for the low, low cost of absolutely nothing, I'd say there's not much to complain about.

it resets every season at least. also remember you don't have to spend money on it

I got DJ Sona from hextech crafting and yes it requiers alot of essence but its FREE. And tbh this skin made me expand my champion pool which is actually useful. Now i own it and i main Sona because of it.

How is something that's free a rip off? Just be patient and keep earning chests and keys and disenchant the skins you get till you have enough. This system doesn't force you to go out and buy more chests, it's just an option for impatient people.

For example i am saving up for the Black Frost Anivia skin shard i got, i almost have enough but that doesn't mean i am going to go buy chests. I'll just wait till i get a couple more and hopefully get some stuff to disenchant. It's a system designed for people with patience that don't want to spend $20 on a skin.
