New Item Ideas

This is just an idea that I was thinking about but here goes:

  1. AP tank items. There really should be like a AP item 3748 item 3053 item 3022 item 3071 item 3078 . I don't like seeing Shen's buying Titanic Hydra because there's no AP version.
  2. AD assassin defensive items. Now I know what you're thinking: WHY WOULD YOU MAKE AD ASSASSINS MORE POWERFUL!?? But the thing is, there really should if AP assassins can buy tanky items. Sure there's a item 3071 item 3156 but there should be an AD item 3157 . And the thing is, Black Cleaver isn't really an AD assassin item just an item that works well with many things. AP assassin items: item 3157 item 3001 item 3174 item 3027 item 3151 item 3116 .
  3. Attack speed tank items. Sure there's item 3091 but that's it. What if you're like a Darius, Tahm Kench, Tank Ekko, Cho'Gath, Braum, Tank Vi, Tank Reknekton, Tank Shyvana, Tank Pantheon, Tank Rek'Sai, Volibear, and Gnar. There should be items that have health/magic resist/armor+attack speed.

These are my thoughts on things but if you disagree or are interested in this please comment and state your theory before criticizing mine.

there's also a pretty limited armor/damage item pool. for MR/damage there's item 3156 item 3091 item 3001 item 3139 item 3174

but for armor/damage? item 3157 and sort of item 3025

  1. Sterak's and Iceborn are really neutral items due to how low their AD is, and how Sterak's doesn't affect bonus AD Ratios (which is massive for certain Fighters). Furthermore, these are all health-centric Fighter items, not Tank items. And we do have items that offer Health and AP: item 3060 item 2301 item 3136 item 3151 item 3027 item 3116, and I'd argue that some of these like Rylais are fantastic options as well.
  2. ...Why. AD Assassins counter Mages, not the other way around, so specifically designing items for a Mage to counter an Assassin is weird. Hell, AD Assassins are actually statistically weaker than Mages from a macro standpoint, due to the fact you sacrifice a lot for the team in order to competitively maintain a balanced team comp with an AD Assassin. The only thing here is the individual 1v1 balance between Mages and Assassins, but again, it functions as expected due to most Assassins countering most Mages.
  3. No. The majority of the champions you listed off should not be building attack speed in the first place for being Juggernauts, and the rest are Dive Fighters where the pinnacle of their balance from a statistical standpoint is that they need to actively decide between opting for enhancing their offensive potential in trade for a lackluster defense or vice versa. I assure you, giving Dive Fighters such a massive crutch as an item that enhances both their offensive and defensive potential in a way suited for them is the worst way to give them an item to "help" them.
