This game is now the big fish and it has catered itself to as wide an audience as possible. The fans that started with league 6 years ago have found themselves involved in an entirely different game designed to please an entirely different audience.

COD released the same content over and over to get you to buy it again and seem new. League releases champs with the same kits over and over to get you to think they are "adding" content

COD has you buy new maps that are just easy money for people wanting things to look different League sells skins that are sometimes just recolors for easy cash

COD became riddled with annoying kids that do nothing but trash talk,complain, and make excuses all game League has become riddled with the same demographic

COD gave the illusion of choice by having a bunch of different guns League gives the illusion of choice by having a bunch of items even though there is only one optimal item build for each champion

COD made the game easier and easier to cater to a younger audience League has made the game SIMPLER (less reliant on intelligent choices) to cater to a younger audience

COD was all about running around pulling the trigger the fastest with no regard to actual tactics League is becoming more about who can click faster and less about any intelligent tactics at all

COD is all about kdr with really no one caring if they win League has masses that actively try to lose and only want to pad their kda

League can cater to a wide audience and get a lot of people playing the game and they can get a lot of people that are fans but that doesn't mean that the game is better than it was 5-6 years ago. They catered to the mass teen demographic and that's who they got.

TL;DR - If you are expecting league to stop having toxic kids and to start getting back to intelligent, complex, tactical design, you probably will be disappointing. It has gone the way of the big game company, which is fine for the many that enjoy it, but know that it is entirely different than the game you fell in love with years ago.
