I believe I'm done

Thank you Riot. Been with you since beta and have enjoy myself very much with your game for the most part. There were some problems I had with certain metas in certain seasons, but I still kept coming back to your game because it was fun. I picked up the role of support main as soon as the general meta took effect because the champion pool had some of my favorites (Sona and Soraka by far have always been top four at any point in time). The game has eaten up a lot of my time. So again, thanks.

This thread will probably be off the front page really quick, and for anyone that doesn't feel like reading WHY I'm done, feel free to skip all of this from here on out and just respond, upvote, downvote, ignore, or post trolly shit. If you are going to read, thanks for your time good sir or madam. So here is my list, I'll try to be brief (I probably won't be).

**1: I don't like reworks. **They change characters that I have either practiced or loved to play, and it makes them feel different. I'm sure it's better for the health of the game, but in all honesty they rub me the wrong way. The changes to Karma way back I had a problem with, but I was by no means a Karma main, and as the champions you rework have more and more gimicks or problems, I find myself wary of wanting to play champions (especially older ones) because they could have rather large changes, and may be nerfed quickly afterwards and left in a weird place (I think Sona and Cass are like this personally).

Obviously I could deal with reworks in general, because I've stuck with the game so long, so it's not the whole reason I'm finished.

2: Balance changes. I'm all for balance changes, they are good and solve problems in the game cause by outliers who are too strong or too weak. While it hasn't been recent, I've seen champions have LOADS of popularity and decent win rates, sometimes controlling how the entire game is play just by existing (people point to Lee Sin for this a lot, and while he was never overpowered imo, he did overshadow a lot of champion picks).

The problem I have with this is it SEEMS (I say seems for a reason) like you show different approaches to different champions. "Better nerf Irelia/Sona", let's leave Eve dumpstered (for those of you who don't know, Eve as well as old Karma were troll picks to the point that you're team would threaten to report for merely thining about choosing them), or gut Olaf. But you turn around and scratch some other champions like Vayne or Thresh or just leave them as is while there is something obviously wrong somewhere when they get to that high of a pick rate. I'm aware of upcoming changes to the ADC role, but Vayne isn't my only problem, and I'll stop there.

3 Sandbox mode. I won't go too long on this. I want it and I don't feel like you guys would change your opinions any time soon. Not much explanation needed.

4: Your story and lore. This I have a large problem with. When I started there was backround for each champion longer than a paragraph. There was the Journal of Justice which, while silly, made the world feel more alive. There was a map. Champions that I wouldn't have had any interest in playing (Mordekaiser, Taric, and Malz to name a few) gave me an interest in playing them, turns out I love Malz, and Taric I use as a back up tanky healer sometimes. There's nothing now. Even your events and champion releases are hard to figure out sometimes, and some info about a champion that might be important is found in things like the AMAs you guys do, and even then it's not much.

**5. Game has way too many asshats. **I took a break about a month ago, after I had a couple of games that had some less than likeable people in them. It's been that way for awhile, and it feels like it's getting worse (whether or not it is is an argument for other people). At no point in time has it felt like it has gotten better. I can't play with these people, because I have no way to respond outside of being quiet and reporting them. I can't complaining because that is having a negative attitude. I can't chew them out, because that's reportable. I can't stop playing, because that's reportable. I have tried playing with friends to reduce the chances of playing with these people, and muting only goes so far for me (if I have to mute someone, they've already said something that has effected my actual want to play the game. I believe this is also a reflection on me, but there's only so much I can do.)

I will defend smack talking the enemy team all day so long as it doesn't involve real life threats or equally horrible things. Saying things to annoy the enemy team is part of the game to me, so long as your still respectful at the end (saying stuff like gg and the like). But when the game started becoming less fun (which is why I took a break a month ago), this stuff bothers me. What bothers me more is you don't even attempt to put in a system that would help people deal with these people actively, while it's a problem. We can't vote to kick from a lobby, we can't be given a dodge similiar to rerolls in ARAM (playing X amount of games gives you a dodge opportunity to avoid trolls) and we don't have a way to leave a game going on when someone never connects. We have to deal with it. This is a major problem for me, even if I only play normals and only play for fun, I have a hard time playing a game that isn't even fair in how many people are playing. A 5v4 isn't fun, it may be for some people, but it isn't for me. Most of those games are stomp fests where the team of 4 surrenders as close to the 20 minute mark as possible.

That's it, these are my reasons. People can like them or hate them, but they are mine. It could be because I've played for so long, it could be because I can't remove a pair of rose tinted goggles, or it could be that I just don't find the game fun anymore, but I'm done. I had leave a thread like this because I've put a large amount of time into this game, and hope that someone at Riot takes a look at it and takes something from it and fixes a part of the game for everyone who still plays.

Thanks for the game Riot. Thanks for reading whoever. Enjoy your day, and I hope you have fun. Bye.
