Wolf could have been used better.
So I checked out Kindred and I thought that it was beautiful. It looks great, it really does. The kit is kind of bland, but it's not a bad kit. I don't have a problem with either of these really, I have a problem with how much Wolf interacts here. To me, Wolf is like Valor, but plays less of a part in a way that I couldn't not bring it up.
Passive: Wolf's portion of the passive could've been done by Lamb. Wolf does almost nothing here. Q: Wolf does nothing in this directly, see W W: The passive portion of this has nothing to do with Wolf, and the active sends out Wolf to act like a Malz minion. This is the most he actually does through out the entire kit, but even still the effect to the Q (lower cooldown) isn't interaction with Wolf, it's just being in a circle. E: The third shot sends wolf out to attack. You could have just had a special arrow, or any other enchanted magical attack. R: Nothing at all.
It feels like you could have just cloned Ashe with how little Wolf actually does. By comparison to other "dual champions" like Quinn and Lulu:
Quinn:
Passive: Valor flies down and marks an enemy. Q: Valor flies and blinds people W: Valor sees things for Quinn E: This is all Quinn I believe R: Valor is the ult, and then uses all the base spells as his own.
Lulu: Passive: Pix is shooting magical bolts based on Lulus attack speed. This interacts with E. Q: Fires from Lulu and Pix. W: No direct influence from Pix from what I can see. E: Lulu moves Pix who puts a shield on the enemy. Passive is applied here and shoots off of the champion it's attatched to. R: Nothing.
Wolf has less of an actual interaction than Pix. Wolf, to me, is nothing more than a Malzahar minion.
Again. The kit is fine, I have no complaints and the actual design and art surrounding it is amazing, but Wolf feels like you couldn't come up with a way to figure out how to make Q have a shorter cooldown every now and then and was like "AND LAMB HAS A GHOST DOG THAT FOLLOWS IT".
Thank you for reading.
