Just a hypothetical, I was pondering the notion of a single damage stat that all characters scale off of equally and thinking about having to deal with crazy shit like Zhonyas on a Marksmen or Black Cleaver on a DoT mage like Cass.

The Whamboozler2 votesThis depends. Does that mean buying AP raises your auto attacks and AD scaling abilities? How much? If it's 1 for 1 then pretty much EVERY AD champ is insanely broken, since AD is normally harder to buy due to price but AP can easily reach 600+ in a few items. You wouldn't NEED crit if your attacks all do 700+ damage.
