I was watching my level 9 friend playing a normal, and there was a Gold 2 leblanc with almost 1500 wins in there game and she was pub stomping everyone of them. Tell me how a level 9 is supposed to think this game is fun when he gets wrecked almost every other game by a smurf or someone who duoed with a pre 30 and got carried in there. I just personally think thats a little unfair
i started hating riven back when i was level 18 and got matched against a plat 2 player who somehow ended up in my game :P yeah that kind of stuff is frustrating
This is why when low level real life friends want to duo I always do silly builds like AD Annie and full AP Naut to somewhat balance it out and keep it fun
Ehh... its mostly people duoing with 30's that gets the real insanity in low level games. My smurf almost never sees actually new players, like at all outside of large pre-made teams on the other side because of what that does to their guesstimated MMR. Said smurf is currently level 15-16, and the game routinely tosses 23+ at it. And na.op.gg loosely has it categorized in the 1700+ range for most games, it takes me an average of at least three minutes to get a match in blind normals on that account.
Basically, any real smurf gets removed from interaction with newer players very fast outside of the failings of the matchmaking system when it comes to dealing with pre-mades with 30's or large teams.
There is a long learning curve and many people have played for many years. Lobby games before matchmaking was a thing this would happen plenty although now you can see their statistics. Maybe your friend can watch a replay and learn from where they went wrong.

Yes, its complete crap, and yes Im currently leveling and constantly running into 30's on one team completely wrecking the game.
